Abstract
Constructivism is a pedagogical technique that provides the student with the tools to be able to construct his own knowledge, as a result of previous experiences obtained in the environment that surrounds him. That is, the student interprets the information, behaviors, attitudes or previously acquired skills to achieve meaningful learning, which arises from his motivation and commitment to learn (Rivera, 2021).the methodology carried out was based on a cross-sectional research design in order to meet the research purposes proposed. This research was carried out by means of a descriptive longitudinal study based on the theoretical methods of analysis and synthesis in order to tabulate the results of the instrument applied. A descriptive and correlation analysis was carried out with the participation of professors from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), Universidad Estatal de Milagro (UNEMI) and the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas (ESPE), in areas related to Basic Sciences; Agriculture; Health; Social and Humanities; Design and Construction; Economics and Administration; Arts and Culture; and Secondary Education. The characterization of the respondents was as follows: the level of education was 59% with a master's degree; 21% with a bachelor's degree; 16% with a doctorate; and 4% with a specialty or diploma. As for their dedication, 42% were full time and 40% subject; 13% were part time; and 5% were full time. Regarding the seniority of the participating professors, a greater response was obtained from those who have been with the institution for one to ten years.
